A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a driver's license required in the United States to operate any type of vehicle which has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 lb (11,793 kg) or more for commercial use, or transports quantities of hazardous materials that require warning placards under Department of Transportation regulations, or that is designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver. This includes (but is not limited to) tow trucks, tractor trailers, and buses. |

LTL trucking job is a blend of relatively small cargoes coming from various shippers for delivery to different destinations. The shipments weigh between 151 and 20,000 in pounds or 68 and 9,072 in kilograms and the rate of the packaged cargoes may come inexpensively compared to full-truckload carriers. Truck drivers making a living in LTL trucking take the task of loading and unloading of shipment to and from a single container with cargoes obtained from the terminal hub. From the terminal points where the cargoes are weighed and inspected before loading to trucks, truck drivers coordinate with the dispatcher in the matters of delivery
